Responding to the close
down in Boston vs getting more info on backgrounds.
In Boston there was a
known killer / killers on the loose and they really did not know if anyone else
was involved. If we are going to modify one of the amendments to the
constitution then why not another one. Freedom of Speech: You cannot
cry fire in a full theater just for effect. It can be dangerous and
create panic, confusion and unthought out behaviors. So do all of the
violence permitted in the movies, the games on video's, cell phones and all of
the current hand held items that all kids and adults have access to
today. It is not about guns but the violent, instigated and mentally
unstable person we have to worry about. People do not get their ideas
from guns. They use guns after they have been exposed to violent thoughts
and ideas wherever those ideas are initiated and then violently executed. We do need to know who we are selling the guns to. But buying the gun is
really the last act in a series of mind polluting events whatever and
from where ever they may have originated.

Per fil, they make it difficult anyway to obtain a gun. Those types of controls are good. If we also push the value of life, the potential of people, while reducing exposure to violence, we don't need to run the muddy line of a law determining what's allowed and what is not, leading to lawsuits, failures, and further laws that make criminals of people who are trying to live.
